TAMPER-EVIDENT PACKAGING: A CASE STUDY

"Tamper-evident packaging" seals are an essential technology in industries from food to pharmaceuticals. These safeguards are designed to ensure a product's quality, safety and shelf life. Verifying the integrity of the seals during packaging is a critical step in the manufacturing process.

Deep learning is a subset of the machine learning field, both of which fall under the very broad umbrella of the scientific discipline of “AI” (artificial intelligence).  Combining the strength of deep learning with analytical machine vision tools creates a highly reliable hybrid approach. 

This case study highlights the integration of advanced imaging techniques with deep learning analysis used to successfully inspect foil seal integrity with high reliability.
